A safari to see the best game parks in Kenya and also the famous bird sanctuaries of the great rift valley lakes before taking you down to the coast to enjoy at leisure the beautiful sunny beaches of Mombasa, Malindi and Lamu.

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu

Depart Nairobi in the morning passing through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland and open Savanna plains of Samburu Game Reserve. Here the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of game among them elephant, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion, grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Oryx and the long necked gerenuk. Camp under a canopy of trees or stay in the lodge for dinner and overnight..

Day 2: Full day in Samburu

Full day in the park and return to camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu to Lake Baringo

Leaving samburu in the early morning, we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lorechi Plateau. Lunch enroute and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake  Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed, the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya.

Day 4: Baingo via Bogoria to Lake Nakuru

Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizeable number of flamingoes and other species of birds. The highlight, however, is the boiling hot springs and geysers, which also contribute to the beauty of the lake. After lunch, we proceed to Lake Nakuru in the south- another shallow soda lake that has been described as “an ornithologists paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights”. It’s known for millions of flamingoes, it’s rhino sanctuary and also has other plain game. Dinner and overnight in the hotel/lodge.

Day 5: Masai Mara from Nakuru

We head further south to Narok for lunch then proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Dinner and night at the camp/lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara whole day

From the Lodge/camp, we explore the Mara region, packed with all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. You have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five.

Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast drive to Narok where Maasai souvenirs can be bought, after lunch proceed to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Nairobi to Amboseli

Morning drive Amboseli. After lunch proceed for the afternoon game drive. Drive to the camp/lodge for dinner and night.

Day 9: Amboseli whole day

Day spent exploring this park with the magnificent snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains. Here elephants, hippos, buffalo, giraffe are likely to be seen. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 10: Amboseli to Tsavo West

Leave soon after breakfast to Tsavo West National Park. Visit Chyulu Hills and the Mzima Springs, which are favourite haunts for both the hippos and crocodiles, which can be seen from an underwater observation chamber if time permits. Dinner and overnight in a camp/lodge.

Day 11: Adventure in Tsavo West

Day spent exploring the park including the nature trails. Dinner and overnight in the lodge/camp.

Day 12: Tsavo West to Tsavo East

Early in the morning we drive to Tsavo East. This park is famous for its great herds of elephants. Visit Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks and Aruba Dam. Return to camp/lodge for dinner and night.

Day 13: Tsavo East to Mombasa

Early morning game drive. Soon after breakfast we proceed for a short game on our way out to Mombasa arriving there in the afternoon and the tour ends here.
